Day 3 - Friday (03.06.05)

Our last day in Kuching. Unfair that I only got to spend 3 days there. Not enough time to wind down and relax. =( Anyways, we all got up kinda late that day, I guess. Went to have breakfast/lunch at the Sarawak Plaza. After that, my dad left me, Aaron, and Greg there for us to get a gift for Lydia for helping us out with the house alarm back home when it went off. Stupid alarm.. Anyways, he, my mom and Andy went to send my mom to a massage place, I suppose. I'm just guessing. Cos my mom wasn't feeling well and she was asking about places where she might be able to get a massage so that she would feel better. So, yeah.

Anyways, got something for Lydia. Also got really pissed off. Haha. Cos it was my last day there and my parents still wouldn't let any of us go out to see our friends, etc. I know I don't sound pissed off now. But I really was back then. I was so frustrated. I didn't understand why they would do that. I've been asking my parents, even before I came over to Kuching if I may go see my friends while I was there. And all they would ever say was "See first" or "Wait first" or "You come here first, and then we'll decide". Hmph. At first, when I asked them, they said no. But when I asked their reason why, they would just keep insisting on just saying no. Geez. They couldn't even give me a valid reason as to why not.

My dad came to pick us up soon after to go back to Bau. Did the usual, watch tv, fall asleep, and drink all afternoon. Boring. Later though, around 5pm, my dad suggested we go to the Wind caves. So we did. I borrowed my cousin's shorts, my aunt's t-shirt, and my babai's slippers because there was a river there and I wanted to go in. We all got into 2 cars. My dad's Honda Stream and my grandfather's Toyota Unser. Everyone went except for my babai and my mom. Cos she still wasn't feeling well. My uncle Joseph drove the Unser.

On the way over, my hp suddenly got signal. Yay! My kampung didn't have any coverage for Digi users. Sad. If not, I'll be smsing someone all the time just to overcome my boredom. Muaha! So just smsed Rafie.. heheh. Say that maybe later that night we could sneak out again instead. Since my parents wouldn't let me go out. Boo!

Arrived at the Wind caves but I think the caves were closed. So we walked down to the river instead. That's where we really wanted to go anyways. And oooh! The water was so cool. The pebbles in the river weren't so cool, however. They just made it painful to walk. Hard too. Cos we were all barefooted in the river. Hehe.

There ya go. Some pics. Sad that all I had to take any pictures on was my poor old Nokia 3220. *hint hint* Anyways, went back to my grandpa's house after that.. took a shower.. had dinner.. said our goodbyes.. we left earlier than usual that night because my dad needed to get enough rest for the trip home. We would be driving back to Miri. -_-" Woohoo.. can't wait... sitting in a car for 13 hours straight.. cool.. (I'm being sarcastic, btw.) Haha. Imagine that.. a trip that would take only one hour by plane, would take 13 hours by road. Die!!

Anyways, that night, Aaron just wanted to sleep, and so he did. Greg actually wanted to follow and sneak out as well, but he chickened out at last minute cos he had a feeling that something bad was gonna happen. I had that bad feeling too. But you know what.. I didn't care. So Greg offered to be my lookout. He was just gonna watch some South Park and wait up for me. Aww.. but there's a catch. Haha. I have to buy him a slurpee back from 7-11. Ah, fine.

Midnight (04.06.05)

Snuck out at about.. close to midnight, I think. Rafie's friends wanted to come and see me. Dex, and this other Korean guy, which I haven't met yet. But they had to be sent home just before I was able to finally sneak out cos their parents were waiting up for them back home. Too bad. So it was only Rafie and me that night. So, went for a drive around the place.. Rafie showed me around.. round and round we went.. just looking for a spot to hang out. Someplace nice, where it wasn't so crowded. But it was crowded no matter where we went cos it was a Friday night and everyone was just hanging around where they could. Ended up at Masja again. The place where he brought me the first night I was there.

Before that, while driving around, he glanced over at me, to where I was sitting in the passenger seat.. I guess I was looking pretty sad and down.. and yeah, I was.. cos I didn't know what to think.. about him.. about what we've been doing.. I didn't want to think that he's just using me.. but I didn't want to say anything.. cos I just didn't want to ruin things by fighting or arguing or crying.. When he saw me like that he asked.. "What's wrong? Why do you look so sad?" and since I didn't want to ruin things.. I just plastered a smile on my face, faced him, and said "Oh, nothing's wrong." *grin* But then he said "Don't lie to me, k.. I can see it in your eyes.." Sigh.. he knows me too well sometimes..

Hung out there for awhile at Masja and then drove off to find some burgers for Rafie cos he was hungry, again. *rolls eyes* Drove around and found a burger stall which wasn't as crowded as the first one we spotted and made a beeline for it. Hehe. Whilst waiting for the burgers to be done.. Rafie told me to turn around and close my eyes.. I was reluctant at first as I was suspicious, but I did anyway.. and he put on a necklace for me. I was suprised as I wasn't expecting any gifts.. and his birthday was in 2 days. It should be me giving him a gift. Not the other way round! And when I turned around, he placed another one of his old necklaces in my hand and he said "That necklace is one of my old ones. Which I'm giving to you.. this other one.. I'm only loaning to you.. One day, I'll come back and get it from you.. I promise." So, that was him giving me two of his necklaces.. Heh.. My prince charming..

After that, went to a nearby 7-11 to grab some more snacks and slurpees. Then, back home. =) The first night he actually walked me up to my door. Sweet. He's totally my little dope angel.
