gawai in kuching - part 2
Day 2 - Thursday (02.06.05)
That day was the only day in Kuching where we didn't go back to Bau. I kinda forgot what we did on that day... Heheh... *sheepish grin* All I remember about that day was the dinner that night. We were to meet up with some of my family's friends who are either already from Kuching or had come down to Kuching from Miri. =) We went to have dinner at this place called Topspot which is actually a food court that is on top of this carpark.
I was so disappointed with dinner there. Cos all the food seemed so tasteless. Even Greg agrees with me. And that's saying something! Wasn't satisfied with dinner, at all. =( Oh yah.. one of the uncles there had an iPod Photo. Wah! So nice. Hahaha.. he was showing us all the pictures he had inside. He even put my parent's wedding pictures in it. Hahaha. Was so suprised.
Anyways, before dinner, and all through dinner, I kept asking my mom if I could go out to watch a movie with my friends after dinner because Rafie had invited us to go for a movie. But all my mom would say is "See first" or "Wait first". -_-" And so, after dinner, we went back to the hotel/apartments we were staying at and my mom goes "Okay. You all go take your showers. I wanna start the wash soon" Then me, Aaron, and Greg all go wide-eyed. Geez! I really think my mom sengaja do this to us. Pretend to forget and ignore. So fine. We all obediently go and take our showers. Haha. We didn't mind. Cos we can always just sneak out with Rafie they all, after. ;) And we did.
Rafie and Wafi (Rafie's cousin) came at around 11.40pm to pick us up. We went to StarCineplex for our movie. We all decided to go watch Infection. This newly released Japanese Horror flick. Actually, I don't know if it's new or not.. IMDB says that it was released last year. Oh well. I paid for all the boys tickets. Except for Wafi. =( Wahh!! Broke straightaway. Hahaha. But I don't mind, really. Anything to get away from my parents. =) The movie only started at about.. 12.40am? I think. So we all just got some popcorn, some drinks.. and went to sit at a table. Got so sick of them talking guytalk. Yucks. Whatever!! After awhile, Rafie suddenly exclaimed "Oh!! Now I know who you remind me of! Avril Lavigne!!" and I'm like... -_-" What an insult. Grr!! I was not trying to look like her nor do I want to look like her. And Rafie's all like "Hey! Not my fault. Who ask you to wear those 3 quarter pants, with those hightops?? With that bag and shirt and all?" -_-" Fine.
After that, Greg, the busybody, piped in and said "Ya, Kim! Who ask you to wear like that! Avril!!" and starts throwing popcorn at me!! Then Rafie joined in throwing popcorn. I was like "Oi! Stop that!!" but they didn't. -_-" So I grabbed a handful of Aaron's popcorn and started throwing them at Greg and Rafie. Popcorn war!!!! Muahahaha!! But Aaron's like, "Oi! Don't waste my popcorn!!" and grabs his bucket of popcorn and brings it furher away. -_-"
I forgot to mention that Rafie was also wearing a tie that night, with jeans, and his shirt was not tucked in. *swoon* So cute, adorable, handsome. Heh. *blush* Anyways, after the popcorn war died down, Rafie says to me, "You know, the only thing you're missing now is the tie" and then attempts to put his on me. But I wriggled away. Muahaha.
Anyways, the movie was lame. Not scary at all. What a disappointment. Not that I expected it to be really great, so I wasn't THAT disappointed. Just that, Japanese horror movies are usually the better ones in the business. Hehe. I wasn't scared one bit. Can't say the same for Rafie though. The theatre was freezing cold. But still not as cold as Miri's theatres which is really saying something. Haha! Or maybe it was cos I had a sweater with me, for once. And I was sharing it with Rafie? Maybe that's why I wasn't cold. Hehe.
Hehe. So cute!! Rafie kept hiding behind my sweater or my shoulder everytime a scary or very tension scene would come on. Awwww... so adorable!! Just made me wanna hug him tight. Just like a little kid. Hehe. Made me feel so macho. Muahaha!! Hahahahaha!! But seriously, omg, he was so cute like that. Hehe. Kinda makes me wonder... about what if I had brought him to watch a not-as-lame horror movie. Eeeee!! Cuter!! Hahaha.
After the movie, we all agreed that the movie was lame. All of us, except for Rafie who was all "Hmph" and "Oh, shut up" to the rest of us. Hehehe.. so cute!! Anyways, we went to send Wafi home first. Then Rafie sent the rest of us back to Somerset. Wish we didn't have to go back so early.. but his father had sent him a sms telling him to go home immediately. Heheh. Sian.
Made a lot of noise in the room later that morning. Because I was on the phone with XingKai and Greg was just noisy. Biasalah. That was until my mom woke up and came into the room to check on us. Whoops. Hehe. That was around 4am. :P Hehehe.
