Happy New Year! So, how did everyone celebrate their new years?
I had quite an interesting experience this new year. Initially, I wasn't planning on doing anything this new year. Just stay home and do nothing. =) Unfortunately (kidding) though, Mark asked me to come along with him and his friends out. So I did.
He picked me up at about 10.20pm and we went to Desserts to pass the time whilst his friends had dinner. I had chocolate ice-cream. Ooooohhh... so yummy.... slurps.
When we wanted to leave, it started raining really heavily! Had to make a run for it, of course. I'll just leave it up to your imaginations what I ended up looking like after that. Then we went to meet up with his friends at the Hong Kong Duck Eating House where they were having their dinner.
When they were done, we left for Taman Awam. Just to hang. Then we left for Mosjaya for drinks. Mark wasn't feeling too well so we left early. Reached my house at about 1.30am. Mark came in for awhile for some panadol. My dad was still up at the time but he was in the shower.
I went outside to see Mark off but I had forgotten to bring my keys. I had left them in the house and I had closed the gates while Mark and I went into the house. When I went back to retrieve my keys, I found that the door had been locked. Most likely by my dad after he was done with his shower. I was locked out of my house.
Spent half an hour trying to contact my parents to let me back in the house. Tried messaging and calling them. Didn't work. So at about 2am, we decided we should just scale the fence and go someplace else. This would be my 2nd time climbing this fence and I'm proud to say that this time, I did not get hurt at all! *grin* My parents can really rest assured that our fence is not an easy one to get over. Fooh.
But where was I going to sleep?? Mark said I could stay over at his place but I rather not. So I tried calling Wani, cos she was the closest person I know and that I had her phone number, but she didn't answer her phone. She was asleep already. I could not call my other friends who lived nearby cos I had recently lost all my contact numbers. That is a story I will tell another time.
In the end, I called up my aunt who lives in lutong baru. Heheheh. Felt sorry about having to wake her up. But she seemed fine with it and only laughed at me when I arrived at her place. Heheh. Finally managed to get to sleep at 3am.
Went to church later that morning wearing the same clothes I had on the night before. Pai seh!! [Translated: Embarrassing] Heheh. What happened when I got home? Well, my mom laughed at me again. =( Hahaha. What a way to start off the new year, eh?
Happy New Year, everyone.

Edits:
At midnight, we stood atop the towers and watched the fireworks together. We wished everyone a Happy New Years. It was a really mellow celebration for us. After we were done watching fireworks, we went down to the suspension bridge for a walk and met up with a couple of stragglers. (We all used two cars to get there so the others got lost in some other part of the park) Then we went to Mosjaya for drinks. Boring kan? See... what for you want to know all this. :P
